Soccer in the Inland Empire
So I’m here at the R.M. Lewis Sports Complex in Fontana, CA. It’s fairly new and I had no idea that it was here.
Anyway, one of my buddies is in a soccer league and they play here on a regular basis. He called me earlier and asked me to swing by to watch a few of his games. I wasn’t doing anything else, so why not?
Well, the fields are beautiful. They’re astro-turf with a layer of rubber underneath. Running on ‘em feels really good. It almost makes me want to play football or something. I said “almost” because unless it’s a bicycle or a car, I won’t expend any physical energy doing much else.
Jose and his team are down 0-1 and I decided to run across the street to Farmer Boys to grab something to eat. We’ll see if they have the game tied when I return.

Looks like there was an issue with the referee. Even the winning team had a problem with his calls and thought he was an idiot.
